Cliffs Of Moher and Doolin barn Wedding-G&M

Fun, Fun, Fun.

My theme was a ‘saving of the harvest and fall wedding’.

I wanted a simple and Glamorous look, with something a little different. I think this was achieved.

The Vibe was a happy and united one for us and our guests. I had a photo display of my guests on their big wedding day so that we could all remember the unity of marriage and that the love feeling would be there as they spoke about their day.

I just knew the venue would work the minute we saw it. I did not want something that shouting WEDDING. I wanted a team that would work with me and input my ideas and work with me whilst I worked on the very personal touches for each of my guests and bridal party. I wanted my wedding to be relaxed, with a cozy feeling and the styling to be personal and natural. This was achieved with a great team behind me at Doolin hotel.

Olga’s and her work partner Alexandra’s from Mrsredhead Photography Ireland  work was done to such a high standard. She captured our wedding perfectly for us to treasure as precious memories forever. She truly caught the emotion and excitement of that day.

Our photos were so quick getting back to us. On the day everyone bragged about them and kept asking who my photographers were? All kept saying I would get fab photos. They worked so discreetly that I forgot they were there!!!!

Everything about our photos screams energy, madness and happiness. Every photo is so different to the last. The whole story of the day was captured and in such a natural and not posed way.

We couldn’t have asked for a more helpful, fun and artistic photographer from start to finish.

Michael and I met on a night out in Kilkee in 1997, back in the day!! We became good friends. I went travelling and when I would come home I always made contact with Michael for a catch up. We did not get together until 2006…just before I was about to travel to Australia…..however, I never made it as Michael wooed me….it was a long time in the making!!! I have never looked back….though I keep hinting he owes me a trip to Australia….it’s in on the pipeline!!

What was important to you about your wedding – what were your priorities from the very beginning?

That I could involve the presence of my parents even though they have passed away. I didn’t want a remembrance corner or anything to make me sad. I wanted to celebrate them. So I had did a display of my mother’s wedding dress and my father’s top hat box. I didn’t really tell anyone what it was all about. However her side of the family were blown away as they had attended my parents wedding. I think it’s important to involve the ones who have and had a positive impact on your life. My priorities was everyone that would attend. That they would have a day to remember.

What made the day really special and personal to you?

All the little bits. I loved getting the gift hampers together for my bridal party, for my husband to be and my two beautiful sons to be involved and to witness Mammy and Daddy commitment to each other and to them. I felt it was my family, my unit getting married.
